Pitching Wedges â € "The key to your short game

Most beginner golfers and even professionals loose strokes playing their short game. Unfortunately, many golfers find their ball stop in the grassy area surrounding the green sand or a trap, they are faced with a delicate pitch shot the ball on the green and how close to the pin without overshooting the green.

When the strawberry or sand, the golfer is faced with a choice difficult to determine the conditions and the choice of club for the shot. The sand wedge is generally 54-57 degrees of loft and is used for plans of approximately 90 meters for men, about 80 meters for women. He also heads the club's most unique, with great rebound from 10-16 degrees and another feature called heel-toe camber. Heel Toe camber is what gives the sand wedge an oval shape on the lower face. Finally, sand wedges more single width (the distance between the first and trailing edge). All these characteristics are designed to reduce the risk of digging deep into the sand. The Lob Wedge typically 57 degrees or more loft and is used for shots of about 65 meters maximum for males and 60 meters for women. These clubs are also known as "finesse" wedges, and are for "touch" the green around plans that need to quickly get into the air and land softly. The rebound is minimal from 0-10 degrees, because it is usually very little room under the ball, and a small error can make the club bounce off the ground causing a bad shot. It has less sole width and an edge. One reason Many players like this club because it allows a full swing without cover for a short distance, rather than make you reduce your swing. The ball flies high and short.

Practice and choosing the right corner will improve your short game, you can reach more greens in regulation, and probably more pars. Do not forget your short game is usually what will make or break your game if you want to have the right club for the job.
