Nike are leaders in many fields of sport, with their clothing, footwear and sports equipment and in 1986 they turned their attention to golf.
Nike, primarily focused on clothing and Golf Shoes, but in 1998 they produced their first Golf Ball, and in 2002 Nike Golf introduced forged blade irons and wedges and titanium drivers.
Nike has had trouble winning over the traditionalists, but there is a generation of young players who have grown in knowledge and confidence on behalf of Nike, and who are willing to accept Nike Golf on the basis of their products rather as how long the capacity with the Nike golf association was.
Although the first ventures in the Nike golf equipment was perhaps not a great success, but since then the strategy of Nike Golf seemed to be, if it does not work, get rid of it and if it does not improve.
The pedigree of clothing and Nike shoes have never been in doubt, but in 2002 when Tiger Woods went to Nike golf balls Tour precision and accuracy, then went on win 3 majors that season, Nike Golf equipment received a significant boost to the credibility of its Golf Course and announced his intentions as a key player in the manufacture of golf equipment.
In 2000 Tom Stites joined his Nike golf club top and designer, while some question May Nike golf pedigree, none of these issues can be addressed to Mr. Stites, who learned his craft at the legendary Ben Hogan Company, and brings with him a reputation for quality to create tour clubs golf.
Fast forward to 2009, and Nike Golf sponsor of some leaders in the field of golf and a lot of talent and future: Tiger Woods, Trevor Immelman, Paul Casey, Anthony Kim and Michelle Wie. Tiger Woods has played a role in the development of Nike Victory Red Golf clubs.
Today, Nike Golf earn more than some of the traditionalists with them and convinced the younger players, who are very familiar with Nike status in other arenas sports, that Nike is a trusted name in the world of golf, too.
