How did Kansas State recruit Bill Walker and Mike Beasly? From what I know, is not that a good program. Is it the car or what?

Bill Walker has played at North College Hill in Cincinnati with OJ Mayo (goind at USC and considered the best rookie in his class). Walker developed a relationship with Bob Huggins Huggins after losing the Cinci. job. With that, Huggins has coming to him K. Condition when he took the job. Beasley had a relationship with a Huggins Asst. the State which initially K. coach at UNC Charlotte where Beasley was originally going to attend. Huggins hired to K. State. I wonder what happens now that Huggins left the ship for WVU.
