HOW TO FIND THE SPINE ON A GRAPHITE Golf Shaft?
IS THEIR A WAY TO FIND IT WITHOUT HAVING A SPECIAL TOOL?
While griller is dead on with his reply, spine alignment or spine balancing really hasn’t provided any conclusive evidence as to more consistent, accurate golf shots. If you had a perfect, repeatable golf swing then you might realize some advantage from spine balancing. However, new technology in the making of graphite shafts has eliminated the need for spine balancing. Graphite shafts manufactured with nanotechnology provide a shaft where the carbon molecules are aligned in rings and then mixed with a composite to form the shaft. There is no seam or spine and the shaft is uniform throughout. There is no wrong way to install the shaft. The Accuflex Evolution and the Graffaloy Epic are two shafts available that are made with nanotechnology and not too expensive, $50 – $70, when considering the cost of a custom-made driver. You can buy a custom-made driver for less than $300.
