Improved technology promotes consistency Superfast distance in each iron; remotely distinct differences between long and medium irons. Each of the irons were designed separately and designed to help increase the distance, control and accuracy:
- 3-4 irons – long and forgiveness
- 5-7 irons – trajectory accurate and consistent
- 8-LW – sensitive, easy to control
Taylor Made patented cone Inverted technology increases ball speed on off-center Burners hits, the constant creation of shooting distance range. The multi-functional burners creates unique low Center of Gravity position, while reducing drag and turf, promoting the exceptional playability of a thin sole. With a multi-material cavity badge that dampens vibration, Burner irons will give you the forgiveness of an oversize irons, but the atmosphere of a players club.

The new 2009 models differ from year last more differences between different long-distance and medium irons. Iron triads have been designed so that you get a large and forgiving long irons, long and accurate mid-irons and precise and sensitive to short irons.
The soles of the long irons were increased to move the center of gravity back, the topline has been gradually thickened to put more weight behind the ball at address, and size of the head was increased by the idea of increasing the moment of inertia.
And, Of course, the new TaylorMade Burner Irons feature of the inverted cone technology.
