Forged Blade
What is the difference between a Forged Iron and a forged blade?
I don’t want advice on whether or not I should get either one. I just want to know the differences between the two.
Ya like every1 else said a forged iron could be a forged blade or forged cavity back. Lower handicap players usually like the bladed irons b/c of the extra workability. But not necessarily it really all depends on your ball striking, if you hit em solid quite frequently you may like a blade.
Many pro use cavity back b/c even they don’t hit their shots solid all the time.
Usually the better ones use blades b/c of the freedom of shots they can use, cavity back promote the more aim directly at the flag and hit it play. while the blades encourage working the ball left to right or vice versa, spinning the ball, and changing the height of the ball.
Also blades you may find allot more difficult to get as much height on the shot as they have a higher center of gravity.
