Blade, Forged or Cavity Back?!?
Im looking at getting new clubs for the ’09 year, and im wondering is there really a playable difference between Blade, Forged or Cavity Back clubs. I know that blade is better for shaping and are less forgiving, Cavity Backs are easier to hit and more forgiving, and forged are in the middle. Anything more i should know about them? BTW I’m pretty good best round 78, Swing Speed about 117, i drive about 275-280 accurately and my natural swing has a slight draw.

I would say at your skill level, with room to improve go with the Forged clubs… Still offer forgiveness but will also increase your workability of the ball.
The real question is how is your ball striking? So many people try to equate what club they should play versus their handicap and frankly that is not the right factor.
You have picked some mighty nice clubs to choose from. Hit all three and see what feels best. If your a very good ball striker the forged will play fine… If you step up to blades be ready to spend more time practicing your ball striking….
